There’s something special about red and pink together.

The pink brings a softer, more feminine feel to the design, but it also makes those wonderful red roses stand out even more. Against the brighter pinks, the red looks deeper and richer, so the roses really become the feature rather than disappearing into a sea of red.

The red roses are always at the heart of this design, with two-tone pink germini, pink lisianthus and red hypericum bringing in different shades, shapes and texture around them.

The reds stop the design becoming too sweet, while the pinks stop it feeling too heavy. The result is bold, full and colourful, but still very pretty — something a little bit special without becoming fussy.

We keep the red and pink colour combination because that contrast is what makes this design work. Supporting flowers may change slightly depending on what is looking best at the time, but the overall look will always stay rich, vibrant and unmistakably red and pink.

Available from 3ft to 6ft, with the larger sizes made fuller to keep the design in proportion and give more coverage across the coffin.

Every one is handmade here at Townend Florist in Sheffield by Louisa, Kathy or Chloè.
