FAQ's- Welcome to our frequently asked questions

Here you will find some of the Answers to those questions you have about your flowers, bouquets, Funeral flower and flower delivery.

Bouquets and Flowers?

What is the difference between a handtied and an aqua pack bouquet?

Well a handited bouquet is an arrangement of flowers that arrive tied and gift wrapped. So all you have to do is  leave the flowers tied, trim the stems and pop them into a vase with water and the flower food we provide. An Aqua pack bouquet comes designed, tied and gift wrap but comes in its own water and gift box. This is perfect for someone who hasn't got a vase or an occasion where the recipient will have a lot of flowers or perfect for someone to place them where they want to enjoy them without any hassel of initally caring for the bouquet. aqua packs are one of our most popular deisgns as they are the easiest no fuss options and as a gift have a lot of impact.

How to look after a my flower bouquet?

Flowers are living things. They need water, light and nutrients to live a happy life. A handited bouquet will need fresh water every other day and the stems slightly triming so they can absorb the clean water. We alwaysuggest using flower food as this contains extra nutrients and anti-bacterial properties, which helps keeps the stems able to drink. Aqua pack bouquets are slightly different, as they come in their own water. At Townend Florist we use commercial flower food in all our aqua pack flower bouquets. This lasts up to five days, although we do ask you to check the water level in the box and top it up by using a jug and trickling it into the centre of your design. Please do this on a draining board so any spillages will not harm your furniture.

How to order flowers?

If you've never ordered flowers before then it can be daunting process. This is why we have choosen to use only our own pictures and designs of our flower bouquets, vase arrangement, infact all our flowers. when you order through our website there are a series of steps. Starting from choosing which flower bouquet you would like to be delivered or collected from our shop. Then you will be asked you the delivery postcode to where the flowers are being delivered too in Sheffield, rotherham or Chesterfield, this will give you the delivery price. Next comes the date or day of when you would like your flower delivery to take place. We will then ask for your details, these are kept confidential at all times as required by law and GPDR. We ask for these details in case of an emergency or a disrepancy with your order. Next you will be place all the details of who you would like your flower bouquet to be delivered too. Please take your time doing this, this is some of the most important information of your flower order. This ensures that your order can be delivered with absolute perfection. You can always include any details that you think might be handy in the "delivery instructions", such as if the recippient is hard of hearing or if they have a dog (please note any delivery time request will be noted but are not guaranteed). The final step is payment, choose how you would like to pay. Again this is done securely through your payment provided of your choice. We never get to see your sensitive payment information. That's it!! a few easy steps to have your flower bouquet delivery set and ready for us to make and deliver.

How are my Flower Bouquets delivered?

Once you have placed you order and one of our florists has made your bouquet. we will send your flowers out on our own delivery van, One of our drivers ( Emma, Lee, Chris or Andy) will deliver your flowers on the daye and date you have choosen when your ordered your flowers.

How much is delivery and is it free?

Delivery charges do apply to all our bouquets and flowers. Local delivery is £3.00 and delivery out of our local area is £5.95. We give all our customers a very transparent service. We feel it is important that you know exactly where and how you are spending your money.  A lot of corporate comapnies or florists that do offer free delivery acutally remove the delivery cost from your bouquet. Meaning that you will recieve far fewer flowers for your money. At Townend Florist that is something we feel is misleading.

How will i know when my flowers have been delivered?

Once your flowers have beeen delivered and when it is safe to do so our drivers will let us know. We will then email you, on the email adress you have provided. It will state if it has been successfully deliver, which means either the named recipient or someone at the address given has takne them in, if the flowers have been left witha suitable neighbour ( with a letter popped through the recipients door letting them know where the flowers are) Or if they have been left in a secure place we may deam suitable or at your request. However if none of these are possible will alwasy contact you to ask you what you would like us to do. We never just leave the flowers. We take our flowers, bouquets and jobs very seriously. That why we are the leadin florist in Sheffield.

Funeral Tributes and Funeral Flowers?

How do I know what the flowers you have made will look like?

This is where we stand out above the rest. Each and every picture you see in our funeral flowers is a true pictue of the funeral flowers we have made for a customer. There are no filters, no photoshopping and no enchancing on our website. Each and every funeral tribute is an original design made by us. That way you know exactly what it will look like.

WHICH FUNERAL DIRECTORS DO YOU DELIVER TOO?

Because we are an independent florist in Sheffield, we deliver to all funeral directors in Sheffield. We dont take comission from your order or give comission to ANY funeral director. That's not what we believe in WE believe that the money you spend on your loved ones final gift ( funeral flower tribute) should be used on actual flowers. Under no circumstance should your funeral flowers be any less than perfect.
