Funeral Flowers Can Be Fun

While we fully understand that at a time of grief it can be hard to smile, laugh or even have fun, we also are very aware that a funeral is about celebrating your loved ones life. 

Funeral flowers have a traditonal stance of being the last gift you can give. Today funeral flower tributes are about reflecting your loved one. Some of the wreaths,  coffin tops and bespoke funeral flower tributes we have made have been about the fun in life that the loved one had.

We created this grey squirrel out of flowers for a lady who fed a grey squirrel breakfast, lunch and tea. She named him Fred (She didn't know if it was a boy or a girl?). So when the family came to us to ask if we could create this special funeral flower tribute, we imediatley said yes. While this family were greiving we had a good few chuckles about the stories with the squirel. 

So rather than a funeral spray , a unique arrangement was more fitting for this celebration of life.

Much like the pumpkin coffin flower spray we made for a gent who had a large family.  After talking to the family we discovered that as a family the children grew thier own pumpkins. 

So each weekend all t he children would go down to the allotment to tend their plant. Understandably the children where upset that thier children would never be able to grow pumpkins with their Grandad. So i Had a light bulb moment, Lets put some real life pumpkins int he coffin flower spray. That way the seeds can be scooped out and the grandchildren can grow thier own pumpkins in Grandad's memory. Each year the pumpkin seeds can be saved and grown on. We think thats an amazing legacy that can go on forever more.
